Ryan Bishti is the Founder and CEO of Lantern Coffee

Ryan Bishti is the founder and CEO of Lantern Coffee, a startup coffee shop that opened in March 2015 in downtown San Francisco’s financial district. Bish founded Lantern Coffee with his brother, Mark Bish, a former General Manager at SFO Airport and executive at Virgin America. The brothers worked together on their first venture but decided to put it on hold when Ryan was accepted into Harvard Business School. Lantern Coffee is known for its “secret menu,” allowing customers to order food items off the menu without asking servers what they are called or called by name. The secret menu includes dishes like “the Ryan burger” (a hamburger with macaroni and cheese), “the Mark burger” (a hamburger with tomato sauce), “the Annie burger” (a cheeseburger made with Annie’s macaroni & cheese), “the Sam burger” (a hamburger with vegan meat substitutes), and “The Hilly sandwich” (an egg sandwich made from eggs from chickens raised by Hill Country farms).
