Randal Nardone is a Billionaire and Investor

Randal Nardone is worth 1.8 billion dollars, ranking him number 557 on the Forbes list of the World’s Billionaires. He became a billionaire in 2006. He has an impressive resume and he mostly worked as an alternative asset manager. In 1998, he became a co-founder and manager at a hedge fund company called Fortress Investment Group. He became part of the Board of Directors in 2006. He was the firm’s interim chief officer in 2011 and since 2013, he served as the chief operating officer, specializing in overseas finance. An accomplished man, Randal Nardone also directed the Eurocastle Investment Limited, Springleaf Finance Corporation, and Springleaf Finance Inc. In the past, Nardone served at the Fortress Investment Group as the secretary and vice president too.

In addition to his work at Fortress Investment Group, Nardone served on a few boards. He was on the board of directors for Bermuda’s Alea Group Holdings Limited from 2006 to 2014. From 2011 to 2014, he also served at Brookdale Senior Living Inc. Before 1997, he was a principal of BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. and he was an executive at the New Residential Investment Group.

Randal Nardone earned a double Bachelor of Arts in English and Biology from the University of Connecticut. Then he went on to earn a law degree from Boston University. Before joining Fortress, Nardone was an executive and partnered at Thacher Proffitt & Wood. He also worked at BlackRock Financial and was a managing director at UBS until he went to Fortress.

In 2017, the Japanese Softbank Group Corporation bought the Fortress Investment Group for 3.3 billion dollars. Fortress, a multi-billion dollar company, will remain independent, even though Softbank owns the company. Nardone, one of the shareholders made a big profit. He retained a seat on the board and stayed with the firm as one of the leaders. He shared a one-third profit of 1.39 billion dollars.
