Founder of Horizons Telecom, Haroldo Jacobovicz.

Haroldo Jacobovicz is a qualified civil engineer and businessman who has a strong passion for the IT industry. He is the founder of Horizons Telecom and Horizons Datacenter. These two companies were formed to develop the most innovative solutions to the problems in the Information Technology sector. The impact of these two companies has been fundamental in transforming the markets in Brazil. Horizons Telecom was founded in 2010, and it has become the most popular and reliable telecommunication supplier in Brazil. As a result of the company’s success, Horizons Datacenter was conceived in 2020 to offer cloud services.

Haroldo Jacobovicz is the son of two civil engineers. He gained inspiration by watching his parents create value for things that never existed. He followed in their footsteps and took up a civil engineering course at the Federal University of Parana for four and a half years. Eventually, he decided to quit and join information technology. Haroldo Jacobovicz got the full support of his parents, who believed in the act of creating something out of nothing to bring a positive impact.

His passion for creating transformative innovations was driven by his interest in reading the future of IT in magazines and newspapers. Although Haroldo Jacobovicz understood that luck was essential in any business, he knew that hard work and research were the key to creating something that would last for ages. Before graduating, Haroldo convinced three of his friends who had vast knowledge in Information Technology to form a company which they named Microsystem. However, the business did not meet their expectations, and it was closed down a year later. The good thing was that the failure did not affect Haroldo’s vision. He believed that the world was not ready to embrace the future of technology, but a day would come when technology would shape the globe.
